Heat Exchanger FAQ’s
Do you have a completed TEMA spec sheet?
A completed TEMA spec sheet gives Riggins all the information we need to quickly provide you a firm fixed price quote.
Contact us today.
If not, please consider the following:

What type of unit is it?

Riggins is an experienced TEMA type heat exchanger manufacturer. We do all types including: (AES, BEM, NEN, AXM, etc)

Do you have shop drawings and/or a U-1 data sheet for an existing heat exchanger?

Shop drawings are a great place to start. If you have them, we can typically provide a firm, fixed proposal including price and delivery in one week or less.

What is the material of construction?

Some examples of materials used in a custom shell and tube heat exchanger include stainless steel, Duplex stainless steel, copper alloys, Copper Nickel (CuNi), Inconel, Monel, titanium, and Haynes Alloys.

What are the design pressures on the shell side and tube side?

Design pressures will be shown on the U-1 data sheet. If you do not have a U-1 data sheet, we can provide engineering consultation on the design of heat exchanger units.

Does your unit require blasting and painting?

Riggins has a blast and paint facility located adjacent to our fabrication facility.
